IOL Javascript Function on Record Add

Hello,

I am trying to use the IOL technique to try and run a javascript file on a new record add. This may be the incorrect way to do this and any advice is greatly appreciated. I am trying to send an event to google's calendar API using a js file that I know works. The main objective is on a new inspection meeting in our Inspection table, I want this script to run and send the event to google. If this is possible let me know, I know the script works I just need to know how to implement it the best.
