Is It Possible To Copy Field Attributes But Not Field Data

Question

I have a table that I want to add eight new fields to&nbsp;collect data applying to 2018 information.&nbsp; These are similar to existing fields that apply to the records for 2017, however I want&nbsp;to retain the 2017 fields and have new fields for 2018.&nbsp; However, when I copy the fields, the associated data held in that field is also copied (which I don't want).&nbsp; Is there any way to copy I guess what you would call the field attributes without also retaining the data?

Choose your poison.1. Create 8 brand new fields.2. Copy the 8 fields and then use Grid Edit to blank out the data.
