Is there a way for a date field to update to today's date when copying a record?
When i copy a record, I would like the date field to update to the current date, instead of copying over the date from the original record. Is this possible? Thanks,

Not tested but try this.
Set the field properties for that field NOT to COPY. There is a setting for that on Field properties.
Copy the value when using "Copy this Time Record" to add a new Record
But then set the default value to "today". There is a check box for that.
