Kanbans Across Tables & Apps

I am attempting to utilize a kanban report to assign employees to work crews in one case and to assign equipment to work crews in another.

The first app has two relevant tables, Employees (child) & Crews (parent). I would like to be able to move Employee records from one crew to another but can't seem to get a Kamban friendly multiple choice field which also changes the related crew accordingly.

The second case seems similar, where the child is an equipment table in a separate app and the parent is the crew table from the above example.

Any suggestions for solving this?
