Looking for Connection and Collaboration Tool Users for September Qrew Meetup!


Hello Qrew!

Anyone using Quickbase to work with people outside your org? Come talk about it at the September 22nd Qrew meetup!

Here’s the list of features that help with connection and collaboration:

  • Emailing non-users – send updates to any email, no login needed
  • Emailing a record – share one record's exact view with someone in a click
  • Public app sharing – open an app to anonymous users, read-only, write-only, or both
  • Secure links – expiring links that let someone view or edit one record without logging in
  • Document generation – auto-build PDFs or Word docs from your data
  • Role-based access – control exactly what outside users can see or touch

    I’m actually building an app right now that relies on many of these features. Public users submit a form built in .NET that connects to the Quickbase API, and once the data lands in Quickbase, role‑based access controls manage everything on the backend. From there, the workflow moves through a series of secure links and targeted email notifications so external participants can interact with specific records without needing full access. The app itself is publicly accessible for the initial submission step, while secure links and roles handle the more sensitive interactions. It’s been a great way to blend public‑facing functionality with controlled collaboration and demonstrates Quickbase can take the place of other platforms like Docusign or PowerDMS.
