Need help in making a reference proxy field blank

About: I have a Embedded report with Reference proxy fields as columns. Field 2 display values based on the Field 1 value(I have used conditional dropdown feature to do this). We are using that report to enter project details.

Issue : The Field 2 display value remains the same(whereas the option related to field 1 is available in the dropdown) when I try to choose a different value from the field 1 dropdown.  

It would be helpful if the display value in field 2 is marked blank when I choose a different value in field 1.

    @Hema Rajendran

    As far as I can tell, this behavior is available in the form, but not available in grid edit.​ I would suggest submitting some feedback via Quickbase Uservoice. It is also possible that this is an unintended bug, so you might want to submit a support case. This isn't perfect user experience, but something you could do to make sure they didn't keep the value in reference field 2 after reference field 1 changes is use Custom data rules to ensure that whatever condition is applied in reference field 2 is also validated when saving grid edit.

      @Justin Torrence Thanks for the Input! I tried using custom data rules but I was not able to use Reference proxy field. ​
