Need my URL to get directly to file

I have my URL's created for testing.  I can get to my internal directory but cannot get it to select a document so I can store it in my records.  I worked with a QB Support person and they told me to reach out to you.  I have a formula URL field and a regular URL field and cannot get it to land on my document.  I need to have the actual document to have my APP work properly.  Thank you for your help.

    I'm confused.  Are you just trying to add a file to a record as a file attachment?  Or are you trying to link to a file on your internal servers?
