Sorry, I knew my answer was lame but I didn't immediately recall where the setting was for that and I was not at my computer.
If you go to the Form Properties and configuration for the embedded report way down at the bottom of the right hand panel there is a setting for show toolbar. If you show the toolbar there will be a grid edit icon there.
