Hi John,
yes we identified this as a bug the other day and opened a support case with Quickbase and they confirmed this was an issue.
What we figured out was this...it is only happening when using the new table forms. When using the old forms this issue doesn't exist.
So when you upload a file using the new forms, the next day the file will revert to the very first version that was uploaded. You can recreate this if you want by uploading a file today using the new forms, then upload a few more revisions to the same file attachment field. Tomorrow there will only be ONE version and it will be the very first one that was uploaded.
Pretty substantial issue if you are using the new forms.

Thx Keith,
Is an interim solution to set the number of fields to be retained at 1?
Keep the last 1
Then, presumably, there would not be any previous versions to revert to.

As a temporary solution, I simply deleted the entries in the table and created new ones with the updated pictures. The "Date Modified" and "Last Modified By" showed what was done today. So it should have nothing to revert to.
Not a permanent fix, and erases any of the history, but works for my situation for now.

good question Mark...we are running a few more tests today for a few more scenarios and will add that as a test case. We are curious which file will be reverted when the revision limit is reached as well.
So if revisions is 3 and 4 files were uploaded today, which one will it revert back to tomorrow. Technically the 1st one uploaded should drop off and be deleted so we are assuming that it would not revert back to the first one but we'll see tomorrow and report back on this thread.
We are also running some test cases with our add-ons to see if you click the button a few times to create a few revisions if anything happens there as well. Since we are using the api and not uploading via the form we are hoping this issue doesn't appear.
