Possible to create Button on Home page that goes to a specific record?

I think the only way to do this would be to have an embedded report on your dashboard. The report would just be one record and it would have the formula you were looking for. The trick will be to have that report take up  the least amount of space on the dashboard.

And you can try it as a regular report but you could also try it as a web page element to the report with a suffix of &ifv=1
