Quick Base Channels

I see a list of the pipelines channels but does anyone know if there will be a channel for Microsoft outlook?  I would like to create a pipeline that would forward an email to a kanban report if I flag it.  Basically an email to a task list.

  • We have successfully used Office 365's Flow/Power Automate tool to automatically import emails sent to a certain folder in Outlook to a table in Quickbase. It's not as user friendly as Pipelines and you have to be careful with finicky datatype conversions and special characters, but it is doable.

  • Hi Stephen,

    We actually just had our Microsoft Outlook channel for Pipelines go live this week and you should now be able to find it on the channels list if you are interested in adding it. It was in that limbo this week of being between planned and lived so it was being moved over to the live page. Hope that is helpful and definitely let us know if you have any questions!

      I saw that channel was added as well.  I'm looking forward to playing around with it a bit.

      Evan, what do you believe some of the more common uses for this channel might be?

        Hi Brad,

        The request for this channel that I think has been the most popular is using it to interact with the Outlook Calendar. So that activities in Quick Base can go out and schedule to peoples Outlook Calendar for them or vice versa. Removing a pain of having to manage events in two places and not being synced up. There is also actions around either triggering an email to go out (one use case I heard was setting it up so notifications on records changes went out that could then be replied to directly back to the chosen Outlook email address for a better employee or customer experience) or being able to query and pull in certain emails into Quick Base like some users were doing previously with Sync to Outlook. I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface of the ways people are going to use and run with this channel. If you click into the channel you can see a list of the existing triggers and options for Outlook now.
