There are four solutions here.
1. Enable the checkbox in Advanced Properties to save Parent Automatically when a child record is created.

here 4. Note that you can indeed enter child record on an unsaved parent record when the child table in open for editing in grid edit mode and the children will get connected to the parent upon saving the parent, so Grid Edit data entry of children is another option.
