To my knowledge I haven't seen any settings that would remove this - however, in the March release Quick Base added Custom Data Rules that you can use like formulas, and then insert your own error message. The error message would be just as you write it - so it wouldn't have all the trigger rules that form rules show. Data rules also apply for Grid Edit. You could replace any of your abort save errors with these if you're focused on the messaging side of
