Report of many child records and parents records.

I have 3 parent tables each with their own child table. We use these tables to keep track of current projects going on. I am trying to run a report to see how many of the parent and child records are ...

May I ask the nature of the 3 parent tables?  You might be able to summarize them all up to one master table and build the report in one table, but it depends on what things are there, and if they have either a date or some other 'grouping' variable.
