Request for IOL to integrate google map on form to retrieve latitude/longitude

Calling (requesting) Dan the great!

I have a form that is used by a sales rep to record a customer address. But i need the address to be precise and also need the exact latitude / longitude of the house in question. So, i need the rep to move the pin marker on the map to the exact house.

Natively, this does not seem doable in quickbase via the map displayed as part of the address variable.

I am looking for a solution where in a given form, i'd like the quickbase address field to be visible which will be entered by the sales rep. As the rep enters the address, the map should dynamically show the right street/satellite view. The rep should then be able to click and/or move the pin to the right location, which should then populate two fields on the form representing the latitude/longitude.

Kindly help with this! Hopefully Dan can help with the IOL technique.

Thanks!!

We made this little guy for some solar sales guys so they could drop a pin on the exact location of the home where the solar was going to be placed.  Then it writes the Lat/Long back to QB.  (sorry the screen shot quality is bad, but I think you get the idea).

We custom coded it, so we can't just share the code.
You can use the idea to do your own, or if you want to contact me we can talk about what it would take to implement it for you.  matthew@cirrusops.com

There are a decent amount of resources and support using the google api, but if you are not a developer it might be overwhelming.
