Search Records, return 2 records incurrent view, but return to 9 records in Beta View

Hi Guys,  I am testing the Beta View. In a report, I search a key word in project name, the current view gives me exactly 2 projects I am looking for. But, after I toggled Beta View, it gives me 2 ...

That is a solid bug that they should be reported. I was able to replicate it.  Part of the goal of the New table Reports is to be faster.  So they obviously do not want to search fields which are marked as non searchable.

It is important enough to me personally that I will report this bug.  You can decide if you want to report it as well.

Hi Mark, Thank you so much! 

Here is some updates. I checked with Care team. That search bar is for a general search within the report. To search a specific field, you'll want to use a filter. When looking at the report, next to the search box is the filter button (with a funnel icon). Click that, and a filter row appears at the top. From there you can either select or type in what you want to filter by. 

I tried this, it works out. I am very relived now.

    Actually it may be a bug.  It appears to be searching all fields in the table, not just all fields on the report.  They are designing for speed so that can't be what they intended.  They are investigating.

      I see.  Yes, it should search all fields in the current table. Otherwise, it will be no different with searching the whole database. 

      Thank you again for reporting this! 

      BTW, is there a place to report bugs? I just opened a ticket to contact Care Team. Maybe in the future, I know where to directly report possible bugs.

        The design intent is to only search field which are on the report and which are flagged as being searchable.  So they are investigating.

        The way to report a bug is via the Care Team, like you did.
