Separate forms without separate users

I want to allow the same user type to be able to fill out two separate forms.  We have one form that is grid edit and one form that is fields.  The grid edit is good for when there are multiple records to be entered.  For one or more record it is easier to use a different form.  

I want to have a button for both forms.

    An idea might be to make a report filtered by where the record owner is the current user and the date created is today.

    Then you would have a button for that report on the dashboard and the Report Description would would have a description on it saying to use Grid Edit to enter multiple records.

      Can you explain more?  I don't understand.

      You do not need to link the two forms , you need to create two forms and two buttons in the table ( one for each form)  then you place this buttons wherever you what to user to see them to select one of them.
