Single notes box in 2 locations on a form?

Is there any way to have a notes box under two tabs on the form, and no matter which box the user types in, it populates the other? I can't think of any way, because you cannot dynamically 'append' information, so anything I think of fails in the event someone tries to type in both boxes (which they shouldn't, but trying to think of all fail safes).

To make it trickier, these are both multi-line text boxes that would be logged.

  • While it is not recommended to do that, the current QuickBase forms (at least on the current forms  but who knows about the new Forms UI whenever they come) do a pretty good job of protecting you when you manage to have the same data entry field twice on the same form. When you do type into one appearance of a data entry field it does mirror into the other appearance of that same field automatically.

The reason they did that enhancement many years ago is the new users were actually accidentally put the same filter on the form twice and because the second field was blank you just were confused when they save their data that the data entry they did in the first appearance of the field with mysteriously disappear. That is because the second appearance of the data entry field takes precedent upon saving.

But it is tricky to put a data entry field on the form twice, as you have to trick the form into allowing that.

Also, whenever new forms UI comes into place you never know how it will behave when the same data entry field is on the form twice.
