Snapshot Records not working

Good morning everyone,

I have a [Snapshot - Hotel Cost] in my joined labor table that looks at an Accounting Table and supposed to bring it into Cargo - Labor Types and Rates table.  It is bringing nothing down and giving no error message.  Can you help me figure out what is going on.  I am sure it is something simple.

  • When you created he Snapshot field, did you remember to check the box to initialize the existing records.

    If not, then go to the snapshot field and unselect the source for the snapshot, save, and then make it a snapshot field again and this time initialize the values for existing records.

      I did not do that, because when the developer set up labor snapshots (which worked) we did not do the initiate.  I have not tried it and will give it a shot.  Thanks Mark.

        Mark,

        I think I did exactly as you stated and it still is not calculating or bring down anything from Account Table, which only has one record in it.

         

         



  • Hi Kyle,

    If this issue is persisting even after testing the field another avenue is to put in a case with our Care team and they can take a look at the field with you to see if they can figure out what is going on. You can reach out Care team here in community under the Support option that appears in your global navigation at the top of the page or in Quickbase under the question mark icon in the global navigation by selecting Manage Support Cases. Either way will allow you to open up a case with the team and get a second set of eyes on the issue in your app.

      Kyle, is the lookup field populating. 
      Maybe the problem has nothing to do with the snapshot.   Maybe the lookup itself is not working.
