SSL certificate

A company I am wanting to make a get request to wants to know that QuickBase uses an SSL. How would I be able to provide them an SSL certificate? I'm, not understanding.

    QuickBase of course uses SSL and historically has always had excellent security. Any site that uses SSL will have a lock icon displayed somewhere near the address bar. If you click on the lock icon you can find all the details of the certificate. Here is the dialog that displays when I click the lock icon using Chrome:



    If you click on the details tab you can get the all the parameters and keys of the certificate. Most of the info will not make any sense unless you have studied security but it is worth talking a look because most users don't even know where this information is located.

    At a more executive level you can use get a bird's eye view of QuickBase's security ranking if you use the SSL Labs utility:

    Although the current rating is "B" this is still excellent security as SSL Labs imposes a grading cap if some recent hypothetical exploit is not 100% protected against (no matter how unlikely the exploit). Typically only the largest banks and financial institutions achieve an A grade from SSL Labs. BTW, it is a fun exercise to punch in a number of websites you use into SSL Labs and obtain their security grade.

    On related matters I have to tell you I am very impressed with what QuickBase's security team has done for the product in terms of governance and compliance. Normally security matters are never talked about unless their is a breach and then all hell breaks loose.

    Bottom line I don't think you or your partner have anything to worry about in terms of QuickBase's security measures.
