Trigger Pipeline Based on Formula Checkbox Changing

Question

I want to trigger a pipeline 3 months after a record is created. I have a formula checkbox that looks to see if today() is 3 months after record is created & if it is, it gets checked; but I'm not sure if the pipeline will actually trigger off of that changing. I've seen discussion posts saying it won't, only when the record is actually edited. Does anyone have an idea for how to trigger this?

I think this is pretty easy. Just have a pipeline. Do a search every single day looking for records where the checkbox is checked, ie today is that 3 month date. If you want to safety needed a bit, you can look for records that are three months or older which have not yet been processed with the follow on pipeline. So you would have to add a step to the follow on pipeline to flag the record as being processed.
