Trying to Modify a Parent by Modifying a Child

Question

I am trying to change a field in a parent record by the choices made in a child record.

I have an automation setup to do this, and it fires without error, but the field I want to change, isn't changing.

What am I missing?

It began working all of a sudden with no changes made to the Automation itself.&nbsp;VERY odd.&nbsp;
