why some fields can't be copied when I copy records.

Question

I am trying to create new project with copying existing records. It's all good except several fields can't be copied with value. For instance, the new project have the same name, number, category with the existing one, but my phase and P/N fields are always with blank. These are simple text, user input fields.

Did I missed anything here? Why some fields are copied with value while others not.

I checked the properties and make sure the "auto-fill, copy the value when using copying this project to add a new project" is checked.

There is a field property that needs to be checked. It�s known as Autofill - copy this value when copying this record to add a new record.

That should enable copying the value from the original record

I figured it out. It's not the wizard code. It's a code developed by someone else. Perhaps those fields are added after the code date. Thanks.&nbsp;
