Post-Empower Feedback
Happy Monday ladies :) Now that we've all had a couple weeks to digest from Empower, I would love to start a discussion around the event and start to gather feedback from the team. I personally was not able to attend, but I heard a lot of great things from the folks that were able to get together for the first time in 5 years! I would love to hear from some of the folks who either went in person or watched the Keynote live - what was your favorite part? Are you excited about a certain new feature? What could use improvement from either an engagement or rollout standpoint? Based on some of the feedback we gather from the group, this will inform our discussions moving forward and which Quickbase or developer resources we can help tap in for further discussion. While we did not have the opportunity to do a Qrew-specific event for Empower this year, that is certainly the goal for next year's. I hope some of you had the opportunity to meet with other members of the Qrew and join some of the ERG events during Empower. From the Women's Leadership Group here at Quickbase to all of our rockstar female builders and developers, Happy Women's History Month :) Thank you for all of the hard work that you do both on and off the field, for being apart of this growing community, and for being the best Quickbase fan-women you can be! I'd like to take a moment and reflect on what it means to be a woman in tech these days. According to Women in Tech, at the end of 2023, women held approximately 35% of tech jobs in the U.S., this number decreasing to the mid- to low-twenties when it came to leadership positions, dropping to 8-9% of women in C-Suite positions in tech. Representation has improved drastically over the last 40 years, but the tech space certainly has a ways to go. With all the awesomeness of Empower at the end of the month as well as it being a lot folks' end of Q1, we will not be meeting this month, but keep your eyes peeled for updates on cadence come April. In the meantime, let's use this thread as an opportunity to celebrate one another - if you know of badass female builder, give her her flowers on this discussion thread!2/18 - Women's Qrew Meetup
Hello all! I hope you're all having a lovely kickoff to your 2025 :) We are so excited to get our Qrew meetups back on track this year, and I'm here to let you know that our Februrary Women's Qrew Meetup is scheduled for 2/18 at 1-2PM EST. Since the topic of positioning your Quickbase development experience has come up several times in discussions prior, we wanted to dedicate an entire Qrew meetup to this topic. Join us to hear firsthand how your fellow Quickbase developers, Quickbase partners and even employees describe their development experience and use their technical chops to better market themselves. Stay tuned for an update on speakers! I know there have been some challenges with the invites in the past, so I thought it might be helpful to clarify the process. Use the Events Page as your source of truth for Qrew meetups. Our internal Qrew team ensures that this is kept up to date across all customer events. Register for the event using this registration link. We will continue to post this registration link in the individual Qrew discussions and can share one-off, but it is the same one as the one on the Events page. Registering does NOT mean an invite automatically gets added to your calendar. You can download the ICS file, but we encourage customers to block off time as they register. This is the link for the meeting itself. Karen, Heather and I can track registration and will be more diligent about sending reminder emails for the Qrew meetups. Meeting Invite Problems
It looks like a number of you did not have an invite for today's meeting. I'm not sure what's going on but we'll investigate on our end and find out what happened here. We will make sure there is more advance notice for our February meet up so that any invite issues (should they arise) can be ironed out ahead of that. In terms of today's meeting, we got some got some great ideas for topics of discussion for future meetings. We'll be posting those in the next several days and looking for additional recommendations from the rest of the community!Jan 21st Meetup
Hello Ladies and Happy New Year! We have a meetup scheduled for Jan 21st from 1-2pm ET. We have a couple of topics we thought we could discuss to kick off the new year: Empower 2025 is scheduled for March 31st and April 1st. Who's going? Who's gone in the past and can speak to their experiences? We can give some insights into what's being demoed as well. Goals and discussion topics for the Women's Qrew in 2025. Do we have any goals we want to accomplish as a Qrew group? What product areas do you want to learn more about? Are there other discussions you'd be interested in talking about? Hey ladies! I hope you are all having a lovely start to your December. I wanted to reach out to formally update the group that we are not hosting any more events/meet ups through the rest of the year, and are looking to pick discussions back up in January. Please feel free to delete/reject the calendar invite for next week as we will not be hosting a session. Thank you all who have participated in getting this wonderful Qrew group started! We are very much looking forward to announcing our plans for 2025 and picking things back up in the new year. Good afternoon everyone! I hope anyone located in the southeast is staying safe and sound following the impact of Helene and Milton. I'm writing today to update the Qrew on our event for October: We are not hosting the Women's Qrew meetup that is planned for 10/17. Instead, we are in the process of planning an exciting panel discussion around Building Your Personal Brand with some prominent female Quickbase leaders, targeting the morning of 10/30. Instead of hosting an internal-only discussion like we have in previous years, the WLG is delighted to extend invitations to this free, virtual panel discussion to members of the Women's Qrew!! :) Stay tuned for more details and the panel invite once we confirm final details, but as always, please feel free to reach out to me directly at tluccio@quickbase.com if you have any questions.
