Unfortunately no luck with making the native fields work. Seems like those filelds are missing in the pipelines. I did have a workaround that I am using for now until they fix it. I made a formula text field where I combine the rate and amt beneath the description. See attached photos. Not the best fix - but it will do for now. ------------------------------ Manny Hernandez ------------------------------ Re: Pipelines Quickbooks channel helpIt does work in pipelines. You just have to perform a few steps STEP A. trigger your pipeline, in your master table, however you want. I usually create a button that triggers a checkbox. STEP B. quickbase search records look for child records that contain the master table "related id" for example, I look for all line item records that contain the same related work order Id number as step 1. this will help "query" your line items STEP C. create an invoice Quickbooks step Lines* (list) is the place where you enter the objects from step 2. pipelines will automatically iterate through each line. done. ------------------------------ Manny Hernandez ------------------------------ Re: Pipelines Quickbooks channel helpHi Elena, I am trying to figure this out right now with either pipelines or zapier. I will let you know if I figure it out. ------------------------------ Manny Hernandez ------------------------------ Re: API Add_Record using URL Alternative and Field NAMEs rather than ID@austink "Why are you unable to use the field ID in this specific case? I'm just curious why that would be a limitation." Homeadvisor post using a "simple" http post method that does not allow them to post using "custom fields." Dumbest thing ever... they can only post using their field names period. No way around it. The solution, without using zapier, was to create a specific table with field names that would match theirs. once it comes into QB table, then I can auto-webhook it to drop into the proper table using field IDs and proper field types. see their attached http instructions. ------------------------------ Manny Hernandez ------------------------------ Re: API Add_Record using URL Alternative and Field NAMEs rather than IDAll the way at the bottom of that page it shows the URL alternative with the field name being used. I assume the FIELD ID and FIELD NAME would work both in XML or URL, otherwise why would that use it in that example. But, I am assuming here... Any insight or help would be truly appreciated! ------------------------------ Manny Hernandez ------------------------------ API Add_Record using URL Alternative and Field NAMEs rather than IDHello, Usually, I post new records via API using field IDs. For a new specific case, I have to use Field NAMES. I see in the API documentation that this is supposed to be possible in theory. But in application, it does not seem to work. A new record will be posted but all the fields come out blank. Does anyone have the same problem? https://target_domain/db/target_dbid?a=API_AddRecord&_fnm_second_year=1776 &_fid_8=changed&ticket=auth_ticket&apptoken=app_token From API guide " Using field IDs and field names When specifying fields, you can use either field IDs (fids) or field names. Field names are nearly identical to field labels; if you know the field label, you can determine the field name by converting all characters to lowercase and replacing all non-alphanumeric characters (including spaces) with an underscore. For example, for a field with this label... Event Name ...you should use this field name: event_name You can use a mixture of fids and field names in the same API call. To obtain a field name, first determine the field's label (using API_GetSchema, or by viewing the field in the Quick Base application UI.) You can derive the field name by replacing uppercase characters with lowercase characters and using underscores instead of all non-alphanumeric characters. To obtain a fid, use API_GetSchema. If you are an application manager, you can also obtain the fid using the Quick Base UI by customizing field properties." https://help.quickbase.com/api-guide/add_record.html ------------------------------ Manny Hernandez ------------------------------ Re: DoSave button options?Hi Dan, I also had a similar question to this and I came across your suggestion. What you said make sense. What I am trying to do is create new UI buttons that are rephrased and side by side so its a bit more user friendly. New button 1: function save and close - "Done" New button 2: function save and add another - "Add Another" I was using: "<img onclick='DoSaveAdd()'src=https://images.quickbase.com/si/16/015-save_0.png height='20' /> click diskette to save" What do you suggest I do to make this happen? Re: How Do I Create A Formula to Distribute Leads to people automatically - with conditions or evenlyThanks for the reply Evan. I have used this set up provided by you before. It is simple and very easy to implement. However, I am looking for a little bit more complicated base on different variables. How would I go about finding the right partner for this? How Do I Create A Formula to Distribute Leads to people automatically - with conditions or evenlyI want to distribute lead records or assign them to certain users. Ideally this would be evenly when the users are considered "active" status. Sometimes I would like to only distribute the leads the have a criteria and match those with the user that is looking for that criteria. For example, user 1 only wants leads classified as NEW MOVER and/or in a certain zip code.
