When doing this, and clicking the link, the report does filter correctly, and shows all records whether they match exactly or not. It's only when adding a Report component to the form, then using it's options to filter using the Report Link, that it doesn't display correctly. ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ New Forms Report Link Not Filtering Records Like Old Forms In adding a Report component to a new form, and using the form element option to "Filter using report link settings"... even with "Value Matching" in the Report Link field optionsnot checked, it will only display a record if that exact string matches and is the only value in the Target field. Same Report Link field filters perfectly in old forms, but not in new forms. Has anyone else come across this? Is it just a bug in the new forms? Or are there tweaks that need to be made to target fields, etc in order to filter correctly on the new forms? Would love to use the new forms, but definitely want to be able to see the filtered report directly in the form ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Column width on report automatically expandingI do remember seeing that they were overhauling the new table reports. They do stick once I drag them, but: 1) There seems to be a minimum width that's wider than it used to be. 2) It does some strange truncating we didn't notice before. 3) We have lot of reports across a lot of tables across 2 apps. So this is going to be a long process to have to resize every column. I'll put in a care ticket to let them know. The new ones definitely load faster, so that's a good thing. ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Column width on report automatically expandingIt does begin with a 'C'. ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Column width on report automatically expandingHave noticed the exact same thing. Looking forward to explanation. We've changed nothing in the app. The column widths are just quite a bit wider for all users, even for fields not designated as "display without wrapping". Does not have anything to do with the contents of the cells/fields. Same as OP, I'm using a Mac desktop and Chrome, but also noticed on a Windows desktop using Chrome. ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Pipelines Quickbooks channel helpThanks Manny. I've also opened a support case and given them all the info. Hopefully they'll get it corrected soon ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Pipelines Quickbooks channel helpManny, Thank you for this, its very appreciated.. it worked perfectly except for one thing. In the Quickbooks channel's "Lines (list)" section, I can't figure out where to map a "line item cost" field to the "Rate" field in Quickbooks. It has a field to map "Amounts" for the total for the line item, but nothing i've tried will send anything to the Rate field. It sends Quantity, Name, SKU, and Description (and even Amount) perfectly for each Child record in a given Parent record, but nothing for the actual Rate. So as it is, it creates the invoice and all of the line items, and each one has a name, description, quantity, and total, but the Rate field is left blank. Have you come across this issue? ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Parse out multiple pieces of text from a string and combine them into a new stringThanks, Mark. I'll play around with separate variables. Thanks for the help! ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Re: Parse out multiple pieces of text from a string and combine them into a new stringPlayed around with some ideas from other discussions, and came up with this: List(", ", If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 2, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 2, "U"), 5)), If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 3, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 3, "U"), 5)), If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 4, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 4, "U"), 5)), If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 5, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 5, "U"), 5)), If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 6, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 6, "U"), 5)), If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 7, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 7, "U"), 5)), If(Begins(Part([SN_List], 8, "U"), "L"), "U" & Left(Part([SN_List], 8, "U"), 5)) )) It returns exactly what I'm looking for from the original post. But this formula assumes: 1) There will not be more than a set number of serial #s, or I'd have to add more If statements 2) The serial #s that i'm parsing will always be the same length of 6 characters ("U" plus the 5 characters after it) wondering if there's a more elegant way that doesn't rely on those assumptions.. ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------ Parse out multiple pieces of text from a string and combine them into a new stringI have a field that is a text string of item serial numbers for a given project, and are comma separated. Typically the value of the field is something like this for each project: "ULT123, 512001, 512002, ULT456, ULT789, 412001" (the string will be of varying lengths and not in alpha/numerical order. Could have one serial #, could have several.) I am trying to create a new formula field which will pull out only the serial numbers that begin with "ULT" (and keep them comma separated, if possible). Would like the formula field to generate the following string from the original string above: "ULT123, ULT456, ULT789" Can't seem to figure out how to use the Part function topull out each instance of a serial beginning with "ULT", or do I need to use variables? ------------------------------ Sam Cole ------------------------------
