The problem is that the documents will vary from record to record so there is no way to use a template or standard document set and it looks attaching/requesting signatures in the Docusign pipeline is limited to template type documents. Someone will be manually prepping each document for signatures in docusign but the ultimate goal is for the person who is signing the document to be able to access a link or the document through the Quickbase record. Is this possible with the existing pipeline or is there a 3rd party add on that could accomplish this? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Re: Limit access to a formula URL button from a "List - User" fieldIt is a List-User field. I was playing around with some things and think it now works using the "Contains" formula. Tentatively optimistic but I'll test with some other user roles and see if it works when selecting multiple people in the List-User field. If(Contains([Assign to List], User()), URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_18=Completed" & "&rdr="&URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl()))))) ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Re: Limit access to a formula URL button from a "List - User" fieldMark, Thanks for the help on this. So I created a new List - User field, however, when I go to input the "if" statement listed below I'm getting the error "Column: 0 > Expecting userlist but found text" at the end of the formula. Do I need to define the users beyond just adding the "User()" field? If(Includes([Assign to List], ToUserList(User()), URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_18=Completed" & "&rdr="&URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl())) Thank you. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Limit access to a formula URL button from a "List - User" fieldHello, I am trying to set up view restrictions for buttons based on the input of an assigned to field. I am able to get the formula to work for a single user field but I was wondering if it is possible to have that same functionality for a list-user field where more than one person might be assigned. Thank you. If([Assign to 2]=User(), URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_18=In Progress" & "&rdr="&URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl())) ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Duplicate check based on 6 form fields (includes date/currency/text)Hi all, We are trying to set up a duplicate check when entering a new record via a form, however, that check needs to be based off of 6 different fields - 1 date, 1 currency, 4 text. I was originally intending on making a formula-text field to display all that information as a string and then set that field to unique, however, with the different types (date, text, currency) that does not seem like an option. Is there another option to setting up this unique value field? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Re: Button to edit existing record and create / copy all information to new recordHi Mark, Thank you for your response. Let me try walking through our process to see if it makes a bit more sense. 1. User fills out a form to create a record (Record 1) with field "Type" as "x" 2. Record 1 is routed for approval 3. Once Record 1 is approved... a. Field 26 in Record 1 is set to approved (currently how approved button is functioning) b. Record 2 is created with Fields 1-10 being the same as in Record 1 but field "type" is left blank to be filled in by user Since the goal is to have the "approved" button trigger the creation of the new record, it just needs to refresh the current page where the approved button was clicked as the new record will not need to be viewed/edited by the user who will approve Record 1. Thank you. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Button to edit existing record and create / copy all information to new recordI currently am using an "Approve" button that is functioning to change one field in an existing record, however, I would love for that one button to not only edit the existing record but also create a new record with mostly the same information as the existing record minus a few fields one of which will need to be changed as the button is pressed and the others can be left blank if they vary from the existing form. When using the API_AddRecord is there a way to tell that record to pull field information off the current record and populate it on the new record? Current button code: URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_26=Approved" & "&rdr="&URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl()) Currently stuck on new button code: URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_26=Approved" & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLEncode( URLRoot() & "db/"& Dbid() & "?a=API_AddRecord" (Fields here) "&rdr="&URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl()) Thank you in advanced for any assistance or help! ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Re: Adding code to formula - URL - button to redisplay current page once a record is edited by pressing approval buttonMark, Thank you very much for your help. Button is now working as it should I edited the Field ID to display field number as well. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------ Adding code to formula - URL - button to redisplay current page once a record is edited by pressing approval button I am aiming to add an "approval" button to check a box in a field that can be used on reports for a dashboard. Once the button is pressed I just want it to redisplay the same page (this is the part I am not sure how to add). I realize I need to tell the formula to redisplay the same page but I am not sure how to proceed on that using Below is the code I am using to edit the record and check the box ("my token" is my API token in the actual code). Code URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_EditRecord"& "&rid=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#])& "&_fid_Final Approval=1" & "&apptoken=" & "my token" Error: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. <qdbapi> <action>API_EditRecord</action> <errcode>0</errcode> <errtext>No error</errtext> <rid>1139</rid> <num_fields_changed>0</num_fields_changed> <update_id>1621033392832</update_id> </qdbapi> Thank you in advance for any help. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------Creating multiple choice field that filters inputs based on input of another field.Hello all, I am trying to create a field that filters inputs based on the input of another field. I currently only have one table in the app. I've tried to locate conditional formatting but I'm not sure if the issue is I only have one table and need to add a second with the relationships present. Example: Field 1 Input "A" then options in Field 2 are 1,3,5 Field 1 Input "B" then options in Field 2 are 2,4,6 Thanks in advance for any input. ------------------------------ Peter Krasznekewicz ------------------------------
