ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Counting Date/time field changesThanks for your help. It was worth a shot, I might have to get creative to see if I can track this information. ------------------------------ Chris Dobberfuhl ------------------------------ Re: Counting Date/time field changes Based on what I have provided. A simplified version I have the following fields: Last Login D&T Last Login User 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Shelby Eggen When I make an update to the User say the following: Last Login D&T Last Login User 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Shelby Eggen (changed to Dave Smith) I need to count that change. The result should show a count of 1. The next change in user say: Last Login D&T Last Login User 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Dave Smith Changes to Shelby Eggen my count should show 2. Hopefully this makes more sense. ------------------------------ Chris Dobberfuhl ------------------------------ Re: Counting Date/time field changes Well I'm updating the same field daily on 3300 devices. I thought that you were updating a single record multiple times, but in fact you are adding new records. Your question said this I make daily uploads tracking hardware login information and I am attempting to track a fields times its updated. So now i do not understand what you are trying to do. I think i need an example with simplified data and what response you expect for that data. ------------------------------ Mark Shnier (YQC) Quick Base Solution Provider Your Quick Base Coach http://QuickBaseCoach.com mark.shnier@gmail.com ------------------------------ Re: Counting Date/time field changesI'll also post a screen grab of the screen as well, since a copy/paste is a mess. ------------------------------ Chris Dobberfuhl ------------------------------ Re: Counting Date/time field changes Bellow is a a few complete rows from our database: Last Seen Building Friendly Name Serial Number Wifi IP MAC Address Last Login D&T Last Login User Last Login Unit Last Login Role User ID OS Version Voalte Version Hub Version MX Version Secure Launcher Version Asset ID Enrollment Date Unit Request Sched DD Completed Logon Counts 01-10-2020 TCH West Campus WC2CHLDLFE10 - 5872 19021522505872 10.144.49.197 94FB296A2352 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Shelby Eggen {"WC Child Life"} {"Child Life Specialist"} 23929 7.1.2 3.6.3 19.03.0.31 4.0.0.5 4.3.0.41 1ef8ca5538f3944f4abc71b13351d5d1 06-13-2019 09-25-2019 1 01-10-2020 TCH West Campus WCPERIOP49 - 7397 19058522507397 10.144.48.129 94FB296ED7DF 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Amy Cole {"WC Perioperative Services"} {"Education Coordinator"} 25967 7.1.2 3.6.3 19.03.0.31 4.0.0.5 4.3.0.41 0970b9b2f409d97a60ae17522aef6051 06-13-2019 09-25-2019 1 01-10-2020 TCH Feigin Tower FC9FAMADVO09 - 7344 19058522507344 10.108.13.173 94FB296ED4FE 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Norma Salinas {"MC Family Advocacy"} {"Family Advocate"} 15316 8.1.0 3.7.9 19.11.1.5 4.2.0.3 4.3.0.41 cdac9e1a32549659f4f5e67beaf0c0ce 10-17-2019 11-11-2019 1 01-10-2020 TCH Feigin Tower FC19SOCWRK61 - 2714 19112522502714 10.108.14.63 94FB2972DAA9 01-10-2020 08:59 AM Sabrina Morales {"MC Social Work"} {"Social Worker"} 25579 8.1.0 3.7.5 19.06.0.29 4.2.0.3 4.3.0.41 718e415d2ef9e574f5a5b7b52c7af7be 09-10-2019 11-11-2019 1 ------------------------------ Chris Dobberfuhl ------------------------------ Re: Counting Date/time field changes On the text field options I have the following: Input type: User Input Log the edits to this field, and show them on forms. I make daily uploads tracking hardware login information and I am attempting to track a fields times its updated. I found an old formula that will supposedly track a text field change ( I will post bellow) but the text field may not change for some of my users. In addition this formula does not seem to actually increase in values. var text value = [Last Login User]; Count( Part($value,1,"]"), Part($value,2,"]"), Part($value,3,"]"), Part($value,4,"]"), Part($value,5,"]"), Part($value,6,"]"), Part($value,7,"]"), Part($value,8,"]"), Part($value,9,"]"), Part($value,10,"]"), Part($value,11,"]"), Part($value,12,"]"), ) ------------------------------ Chris Dobberfuhl ------------------------------ Re: How can I create a formula to count the number of times a field has been modified? Is it possible to modify this formula to count the number of times a date / time field is updated? I have a database of logins to a number of hardware devices and I keep track of the date and time they are logged into. ------------------------------ Chris Dobberfuhl ------------------------------
