OK, so we were not at all taking about the same thing. I thought that you were updating a single record multiple times, but in fact you are adding new records.
Your question said this
I make daily uploads tracking hardware login information and I am attempting to track a fields times its updated.
So now i do not understand what you are trying to do. I think i need an example with simplified data and what response you expect for that data.

Based on what I have provided. A simplified version I have the following fields:
Last Login D&T Last Login User
01-10-2020 08:59 AM Shelby EggenWhen I make an update to the User say the following:
Last Login D&T Last Login User
01-10-2020 08:59 AM Shelby Eggen (changed to Dave Smith)I need to count that change. The result should show a count of 1. The next change in user say:
Last Login D&T Last Login User
01-10-2020 08:59 AM Dave Smith Changes to Shelby Eggen my count should show 2.Hopefully this makes more sense.
