Re: Color coding formula based on another formula field Thank you Chayce. Do you know if I can change my Report Name field from text to a formula rich-text field without losing the data? ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Color coding formula based on another formula field I have a formula rich text field called Last Opened Date with the following formula to trim a logged field so it only pulls out the date: Trim(Right([*Vista Last Opened Date (Log)],10)) In my report, I want to color code a field called Report Name if the date in the Last Opened Date field is more than 120 days before today. Can you please tell me what formula to use for this? I've tried several and nothing has worked. Thank You, Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Re: Assistance with a trim formula Last Access Date is the logged field and Last Accessed - Date Only is my formula field. I should also mention that I didn't have logging turned on initially which is why you don't see it as a log entry for 06-16-2023. Last Access Date -- [JUL-03-23 Rachel Miller] -------------- 06-30-2023 06-16-2023 Last Accessed - Date Only 06-16-2023 ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Re: Assistance with a trim formula Thanks Mark. Both of these work however I forgot to mention that my logging field is set to put new entries at the top instead of the bottom. This is because the field is logging dates and we want to see the most recent date at the top. Can the formula be adjusted for that or do I need to change that setting? I don't have a lot of data loaded yet so I can reload it if the setting has to be changed. ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Assistance with a trim formula I am using the following formula in a text formula field to trim out just the value (which is a date) of a log edits text field. The formula is including the ------------ after the user name in the log field and I'd like to exclude them. Is there a way to do this? Trim(Right([my update field],"]")) Log Edits Field Value -- [JUL-03-23 Rachel Miller] -------------- 06-30-2023 Formula Field Results -------------- 06-30-2023 ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Re: Subscriptions to Non-UsersThanks for the quick reply. We need these non-users ("owners") to verify information on a various frequency and do not want them to receive a notification for each individual record so unfortunately this solution will not work for our scenario. We will revisit our process and go from there. ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Subscriptions to Non-UsersI need to send a subscription to individuals who are not QB users but are 'assigned' records in my app. I have been unable to find a way to do this without creating individual reports and subscriptions for each of them because 1) they aren't users and 2) their information isn't being entered consistently in the records (ex: sometimes a middle initial, sometimes not). I don't want to make them official users because they aren't expected to use the app itself. Are there any other options to achieve this more dynamically? ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Ability To Select Multiple Choices From One Related Table FieldI have two tables: Extracts and Vendors with a relationship that allows me to select a vendor for each extract (field Vendor Name). I have been asked to modify this so that up to three vendors can be selected for each extract record and I'm not sure how to make this work. I made copies of each of the Vendor fields I needed to replicate but when I select a vendor name for the first one, the fields for vendor 2 and vendor 3 are automatically being populated with the information for vendor 1. except for the actual vendor name. I also tried creating the fields for vendor 2 and vendor 3 individually but if I do that, I don't have the ability to add all of them as look up fields in my relationship because I can only have 10 and I would end up with 18 - 6 fields for each vendor. I've attached a doc showing my table relationship and a screenshot of the form showing what I am trying to accomplish. I want to be able to select a new vendor name for each one and have their related information populate. ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------ Re: Subscription Email Not Received By All RecipientsThank you Mark. I was thinking we had the ability to use any email address since we can type them in. ------------------------------ Rachel Miller ------------------------------
