Looking at the page you linked too. Is this https://help.quickbase.com/user-assistance/connecting_to_other_QuickBase_apps.html the procedure I should be following? Thanks! Lisa ------------------------------ Lisa Schibley ------------------------------ Survey for EOTI with data from a different appHi all, I know this is probably a very basic question, but my apologies as I am still on the low end of the learning curve. I have two apps. The Survey app is a series of surveys that I want partners at my locations to fill out. The Location app holds info about my locations. The Survey app is open to all on the internet and does not hold sensitive data, so all partners can fill out surveys with just the url. The Survey app connects to one table in the Location app and pulls data from there where needed. The data correctly shows up when I am using the Survey app, but not when EOTI looks at it. I do not want to set the Location app to EOTI, because I don't want to worry about making a mistake and showing or hiding the wrong subset of data. Looking for the right way to make this work, thank you! ------------------------------ Lisa ------------------------------ Survey with 150 text-multiple choice fieldsGreetings, I'm a relatively new quickbase user and have developed a survey app. I have about 150 text-multiple choice fields in my survey and would like to add a default value of 0 to them (currently default is blank). Is there a way to do this in a way other than go through each one individually? Thanks! Lisa ------------------------------ Lisa Schibley ------------------------------ Re: Creating a large online form from a survey that used to be in an excel spreadsheetHmm, I didn't follow your last sentence. Using the "copy field" feature on the Form Layout? Does it copy four? Thanks!Creating a large online form from a survey that used to be in an excel spreadsheetI am creating a threat classification online form for partners to fill out about their site. This form used to be in excel, but we want it online, so we turned to quickbase. These are two of my threats and the way we want to collect data about them. I'm happy with how this user interface looks and I know it will capture the data I want, but I have 193 of these threats to create (grouped into 12 categories). I am looking for some help with the best way to organize my data (i.e., what would be the best way to break up the data since I am collecting 193 x 4 bits) and ways to create the form using some automation rather than manually. For example, is there a way to import my fields with the "text multiple-choice" type? Or is there a way to automatically switch a large number of fields to that? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! Lisa Re: How to set up my app/tables for a complex surveyThat last suggestion sounds really promising for me. Would you happen to know if a sample app in the library that does something similar? Thank you so much for all your responses. I really appreciate them.Re: How to set up my app/tables for a complex surveyBut if I do a traditional form, what is the best way to create reports where I can filter, sort and create sums and averages for subsets of data, which are the reports that are being requested? Re: How to set up my app/tables for a complex survey Re: How to set up my app/tables for a complex surveyHi! I hope I can get a bit more help. I'm stuck on this part: "data entry in grid edit" These surveys will be sent to our partners to characterize their sites, so I imagined data entry would be into a form that they would have access too via the web. I was happy how I was able to set this fairly complex form up from the initial table I described above but then came across your observation of it being "more difficult to analyze the results by question". If I "have each question be a child record to the survey" will I still be able to create my survey form for my partners? This is the part I am working to figure out. Any help or examples you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
