Brian - If you take 1 thing away from what we are saying here, it's that rather than spending development effort is taking away functionality, your customers are screaming for the replacement solution (pipelines, new forms, new reports, etc.) to work how we know they can and should. I'm not sure how development resources are allocated, but for things as important as pipelines and forms, there is no use in creating them, leaving them 50% functional, and moving onto something else. There are "nice to haves", like a New Exchange, AI Smart Builder, ACC tables, and there are "ABSOLUTELY NEED TO HAVE YESTERDAY" like pipelines and new forms working 100%. Each month we see release notes for items that don't address the REAL needs that the hardcore users have. The ones who create the applications, who answer questions for the community, who drive this thing forward. I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying that we really appreciate the outreach to the user base, but we'd like to see more response to the biggest issues we are facing. Re: Creation of new QB Actions and Webhooks will be locked as of June 30, 2024 Ideally it makes sense. In practice pipelines don't have drag & drop. They have click...wait...drag....wait....drop...uh oh, didn't drop correctly....drag again...wait... There are still so many functional problems with pipelines if anyone over there thinks they are ready to replace webhooks and actions then I'd love to show you how they actually function in a large app. I'm willing to make a list of issues if it will do any good... Instructions for OAUTH2 using Pipelines I had the darndest time trying to find out how to use pipelines to get API data when the remote system uses OAUTH2. After lots of trial and error, I was able to make it work, and I figured I would share the info here. Attached are some instructions. These also might be helpful to users trying to get APIs working with JSON data. Comments on this are welcome. ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Re: Fast Field I haven't been able to find this information about Fastfield. Can a mobile user actually use it to select from a list of Projects in Quickbase, and then fill out and submit data related to that project? From what I can tell, a mobile user can submit data, but it has no relation to and cannot be tied to anything existing in QB. Is this correct? ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Re: New Forms | Saving Glitch I've seen this, but it was because I had made a change, then clicked Save and Keep Working. My change had triggered a pipeline, which made another change in the record in the background while my view of the record was before the pipeline. If you try to save the record you're on now, it will give you this message. The pipeline was the "other user" modifying the record. I have seen and reported at least 4 other bugs in the new forms, so they are definitely not bullet-proof at this point. ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Re: API_AddRecord and land the user in edit mode. If anyone comes across this in the future, check out the CreateChildSaveAndEdit (CODE PAGE) on Kirk Trachy's Magic Buttons app. ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Re: return value from quickbase webhook pipelineHave you tried using formula URL's in Kirk Trachy's "Magic Buttons" example app? Specifically "14A. Change Status to Not Started 2.5 Sec DELAY Return (CODE PAGE)". There is a button that links to a code page, which will display a "Processing" screen for X seconds, while the pipeline is running. I use this alot. The user clicks a button. The button formula checks a checkbox, which triggers the pipeline to run. The screen shows Processing, then returns the user to the previous screen. ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Re: Date Based Summary FieldsWas this ever fixed? I'm getting the same issue. The parent record summary of a date relationship shows 0 records, but if I click on that 0 it takes me to lots of records. ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Re: Min/Max Dates with Formula QueriesThanks for the help, but that's not working. If I keep the field as a Date/Time, then I get "Expecting datetime but found date". But if I change the field to a Date field, I lose the flight arrival time which I need to get the Min. ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------ Min/Max Dates with Formula QueriesI need to use a formula query to find the minimum and maximum date/time for a group of records (Flight Arrival Date/Time) in the same table. I know that there is currently no ability to find the min/max inside the formula query, but I'm trying to figure a way around that. I can get the query formula field to display "09-24-2021 01:45pm; 09-24-2021 4:00pm; 09-24-2021 12:24pm..." and so on. At the end of the day, I want a date/time field that will show me "09-24-2021 12:24pm" as the minimum (earliest) of the three date/times listed above. If I use this formula, it gives me a single date/time, but it's not the earliest one. Min( Part(ToText([FormulaQuery]),1,";"), Part(ToText([FormulaQuery]),2,";"), Part(ToText([FormulaQuery]),3,";"), Part(ToText([FormulaQuery]),4,";")) I can get it to work if I use only the time portion, as that can be converted to a numeric decimal, but that won't work for my purposes since a flight may come in at a later time but an earlier date. Doesn't seem I can take a textlist field, "Part" it, convert it to a date/time, and find the min/max. Am I missing anything? ------------------------------ Michael Frishman ------------------------------
