I tried using a webhook, which usually works when QB Actions fail on other commands, but I'm still getting a webhook error due to the duplicate values. Is there a command to add to the webhook that tells it to ignore duplicate entries? Here is what I have so far: <qdbapi> <usertoken>%xxxxxx%</usertoken> <records_csv> <![CDATA[ %repeaton% [CustomerID-PO#.csv] %repeatoff% ]]> </records_csv> <clist>11</clist> </qdbapi> Am I missing anything?Automated copy of one instance of field value to new tableEvery night I have an external API that copies new records into a "Purchase Order Lines" table. This table has a key field of a PO#-Line#, in the format "123456-001", where the 123456 is the purchase order number and the 001 is the line number. There are multiple records for each purchase order because there are multiple purchase order lines. So the next record would be "123456-002" and so on. The PO#-Line# combo is unique and the key field for that table. However, the PO# by itself is not unique. I need to have *just* the PO# copied to a new table as the key field. I have tried creating a QB Action to copy PO# to the new table (Purchase Orders) whenever a new record is added to Purchase Order Lines table, but it tries to copy each new record, and I get webhook error because my import data has duplicate values for unique fields. It won?t even copy one instance. Since the Purchase Order Lines table is also a details table, I've also tried a maximum value summary field to the master table, which would then push back the value to the details table. However, the QB Action triggered on the addition of a new record in the Purchase Order Lines table takes place before the data is pushed to the master table then back to the details table. So that does not work either. Does anyone have a better solution that I could try? As a workaround I've created a report to show all new records in the Purchase Order Lines that don't have a corresponding purchase order # in the Purchase Orders table and a URL button to copy the information over, but it's a manual process I have to do each morning. Thanks in advance!Re: Button to export CSV from parent recordPerfect! Thanks!Re: Button to export CSV from parent recordTrue, but I'm trying to make it idiot-proof for my users. A big button that screams CLICK ME TO DOWNLOAD goes far.Button to export CSV from parent recordI'm trying to have the user click on a button in a parent record form, which will then download the detail records from a child table related to that parent, in CSV format. I know I can easily create a button that downloads a specific report to CSV using the URL of the report, but when I try this it downloads the whole report, not just the records related to the parent. How can I accomplish this? Thanks in advance.Re: Popup for multiple-choice selectionAdding another step, I'd like to populate a datestamp in the form that the user is taken to. I tried adding this to the code you gave me: var text Edit = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=er&dfid=10&rid=" & [Record ID#]&_fid_46=" & Today(); But it doesn't actually perform the datestamp. I've done quite a bit of reading on the forums trying to understand this I believe that adding values to multiple fields only works with API_EditRecord, not with the a=er statement. So if I start on a parent form viewing the child report, 1) Take the user to dfid=10 on the child table 2) Date stamp the fid=75 3) Have the user make a selection and save the record 4) Return the user to the parent form When I use API_EditRecord, it doesn't take me to the child form and shows me the API completion code. When I use a=er, it doesn't datestamp but does take me to the form. Is there a way to do all 3 functions at once?Re: URL button to populate a fieldGoing to bump an old thread for anything looking at this in the future for help. If I understand the logic of this, in the code above, aren't you missing the var statement to assign URLTWO in front of the URLRoot on the 3rd line?Re: Popup for multiple-choice selectionAwesome! Works great, thanks!Popup for multiple-choice selectionI'm trying to create a button on a child record (purchase order line) shown as a report on a parent (job#) form. I'd like the button to show a popup that asks the user to select from a multiple choice field (month work complete) in the child table, and once the user selects the month the work was complete, that data and the date stamp gets recorded in the child table. The user would return to the parent form. I'm sure you can do this via Dan Diebolt's Image Onload technique, which I can get to show a popup, but I don't know how to get the user to select data that returns to the child record. I'm not a coder but I can usually take someone else's code and make it work, but I can't find anything in the community that I can use. Another options is to click a button on the child record to take the user to a child form, where the user selects the multiple-choice field, but saving that just takes the user back to the child record instead of the parent record. Thanks in advance for any help.Re: URL formula button to open pop-up box to collect dataDan, for the life I me I can't get "Test2" on "MyPopDivs Not YourPopDivs"to work, even in your example app. Test1 works fine, but not Test2. Is the button formula really: "javascript:var QBU_rid=" & [Record ID#] & ";" & "$.getScript('https://www.quickbase.com/db/bfuw7wt8a?a=dbpage&pagename=Test2.js');void(0); Sorry for being a java newbie
