Try something like the following where you substitute your field name for "CreateExtraTripCheck": Jeff & Kathy Mickelsen Re: Getting Real Time For FieldYou are a genius! Thanks ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ Re: Getting Real Time For FieldBecause an automation always takes longer to run than a screen refresh, This will leave the field on my form named "Job Start Time" as a blank when the screen is repainted. It will hold the correct value when the screen is manually refreshed. Is there a way to delay the refresh until the automation has completed? Or to force a screen refresh from the last step of the automation? ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ Re: Getting Real Time For FieldThanks. That should be easy. Thanks. Jeff Mickelsen JPM Consulting Sent from my iPhone Getting Real Time For FieldIn this discussion, I will use the word timestamp in the generic sense and not with any QuickBase specific definitions. Also, this problem is happening to mobile device users. I have a form which includes the following url formula. This URL Formula puts a timestamp in the Job Start date/time field. URLRoot() & "db/"&[_DBID_XXXXXXXX]&"?a=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Related Order] & "&_fid_1=" & URLEncode(Now()) & URLEncode(Now()) &"&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid()&"?a=dr&rid="&[Record ID#]) This formula creates a button on my form which when pushed, changes a Date Time field in another table to the value Now(). I use similar formulas for several other purposes such as Job End, Time Card Start, and Time Card End. This formula does exactly what is expected, except it uses the time the form was loaded instead of the current time. So if a user loads a form at 8:00am and then without refreshing the form, hits the button at 9:00am, instead of loading 9:00pm (current time), it uses 8:00am (the time the form was loaded). Generally the form is refreshed frequently enough that the difference is not significant, but when the form is not refreshed frequently, it is creating work time analysis problems and pay check problems. Any ideas on how to get the current device time instead of the form load time? ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ Re: API_GenResultsTable Only Returns 199 recordsGreat catch. Thanks for the help. ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ API_GenResultsTable Only Returns 199 recordsI use the API_GenResultsTable in a CSS page to pull all applicable records to show in a matrix. This report was working and now is not. The URL used is https://<Target Domain>.quickbase.com/db/<Target DB>?a=API_GenResultsTable&qid=92&jsa=1&option=num-800 This report should return 414 records. It is now only returning 199 records which (I believe) is the default without the option=num-800 records Anyone have any insight on this problem? I opened a Support Case with QuickBase Support, but they are taking forever to respond. What changed in this API call? I double checked the API Guide for this and it has not changed with regards to "option=num-n" description. ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ SolvedRe: Push Button automated import of all records and fields from a report on a different tableThanks for the guidance. I will play with this and see if I can get it working. ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ Re: Push Button automated import of all records and fields from a report on a different table Yes it is daily and depending on how hard it is snowing, can be multiple times a day. The Customer Export already is filtered to only include those customers who require snow removal today. Right now, it is just run Customer Export report, export the report, and import file in to orders. ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------ Push Button automated import of all records and fields from a report on a different tableI have an application that includes the two following tables. Customers - contains all of the data related to the customer and the service we provide for that customer. Plow Orders - Contains all the date specific details on what we have done for that customer. These two tables are related, so that all I have to add to the Order Table is the Customer Number, the Driver Number, the date of service and the ProcessedRecord flag which is always set to true to create new orders. Presently, I pull the Customer Export report from the Customers Table, Save it as a Spreadsheet, and then open the plow orders and import the records from that report. It is a simple process and is working well, but since I am the only person who is always at as PC, I have to do all of these loads. I would like to create a Push-Button that will automate the process. i.e. the manager could push a button on his iPhone and all the orders would be created. I am not sure what API (or if there is one) to use to proceed with this. Can anyone help me. ------------------------------ Jeff Mickelsen ------------------------------
