Hopefully everyone is able to make this meetup! Re: Boston Qrew is headed to Houston Empower26, and we’re bringing serious energy with us Let's go Boston Qrew!! Re: From A to Z: Why Pave Feels Like a Big Deal (and What It Means for the Qrew) Thank you for sharing all of this Denin ! Super valuable for everyone to read. I think the experience of people who are used to building apps in the traditional Quickbase way will be similar to what you experienced. It will be interesting to learn perspectives of builders who are introduced to application building through Pave and don't have an extensive QB background. This is also why I'm excited Quickbase will continue to support its core product as there are so many builders like you who have created so many valuable apps using this platform. From A to Z: Why Pave Feels Like a Big Deal (and What It Means for the Qrew) Hey Qrew 👋 Ben here. And if you’ve been anywhere near Quickbase today, you’ve probably felt it. Something big just dropped. Yep… Pave is here. Now, I’ve read all the announcements, sat in on the conversations, and I know there’s some buzz across our passionate community, so I want to break this down the way we do best here in the Qrew: 👉 What is Pave 👉 Why Pave matters 👉 Why The Qrew should care So… what is Pave? Let’s skip all the fancy buzzwords for a second. At its core, Pave is a full-stack AI app builder, but not the kind that gets you halfway there and leaves you duct-taping tools together at 2am. This is the difference: A lot of platforms get you from idea to prototype Pave gets you from idea to real, scalable, production-ready app We’re talking: Built-in structure Governance baked in (hello, Quickbase governance, how do you do?) Ready for actual business use, not just demos that wow your boss for five minutes Or put another way… This isn’t just “look what I built.” Plenty of tools out there for that. This is “look what my business is now running on.” That’s happening with Pave. Why this hits different If you’ve been in the Qrew for a while, you already know this pain: “I built something awesome, but now I need access to five other tools and a small miracle to make it usable at scale.” Pave changes that. No more: Stitching together third-party tools Managing separate infrastructure Wrestling with “okay but how do we actually deploy this?” Instead, it’s all in one place, built on what Quickbase has been doing for decades: 👉 Secure 👉 Scalable 👉 Built for real operations The part I’m most excited about This is where it gets very Qrew. Pave is designed for the people closest to the work: The ops leader fixing broken processes The builder who sees inefficiencies everywhere The team member who says, “there has to be a better way” Sound familiar? 😏Yup, that’s you. That’s how you found us in The Qrew. What Pave does is shorten the distance between idea and impact. Less: “Let me submit a request and wait…” More: “I built it. It works. We’re using it.” Bridging the gap (desk to field) Another big unlock: Pave is built to connect desk and deskless workers. If you’ve ever tried to: Get field data back into systems Align ops teams with what is actually happening on the ground Build tools that work for both sides …you know how messy that gets. Pave is aiming straight at that problem. Built by the same people who power Quickbase One thing worth repeating: This did not come out of nowhere. Pave is built on: Decades of Quickbase innovation Deep understanding of how real businesses operate And a ton of work from teams across the company So yeah, big moment, and a lot of people behind it. Still the Quickbase you know and trust Let’s address the question a lot of you are probably already thinking: “What does this mean for the Quickbase platform I use today?” Short answer. It is not going anywhere. Quickbase is staying deeply committed to its core platform. The apps, workflows, and systems you have built are still the foundation of everything. That investment continues. Pave is not a replacement. It is an expansion. Think of it as building on top of everything that already makes Quickbase powerful: The reliability you depend on The scale your business requires The flexibility you use every day If anything, this is about doubling down on helping you do more, not starting over. What this means for the Qrew This is probably what I’m most looking forward to out of all this noise. I’m already thinking about: What you all are going to build first The workflows you’ve been wanting to fix The “I hacked this together but…” projects that can now level up And you know what’s coming next… 👉 Demos 👉 Pave specific conversations 👉 Meetups where we swap ideas and show off what we’ve built I can be a little selfish here, no? A Pave Community, anyone? We will make this happen. Go check it out 👀 If you have not yet, take a look at Pave here: Then come back and tell us: 👉 What would you build first? 👉 What problem would you finally solve? Because if there is one thing I know about this community… You are not going to start at A or B. You are going straight to Z. Big day, Qrew....biiiiiiig day. Get fired up for Pave! -Ben Re: Code Pages are wild! Agree Cam, they are wild. If you want to see how far you can go with a Quickbase app, and you're not using code pages...I'm not sure you can go as far as you want. You can go pretty far, don't get me wrong...but code pages open up so many possibilities. Thanks for the share! Re: Denver Qrew Launch Re: Tutorial Help Hey Darian , welcome to The Qrew! You're going to want to email mailto:[email protected] with the course name as well as a description of the issue you're running into. A member of our Customer Education team will respond. Let me know if you have any additional questions! Denver Qrew Launch Hey Everyone, I had such a great time last week connecting with you all! Clubhouse work and golf is such a fantastic venue for these meetups, and a special thank you is deserved for Jess and the entire Quandary team for helping make this happen. AmberGartner will be a fantastic Qrew Leader, she's already demo'ed her slick buttons and shown you the way. For those of you who want to check out Manny's March Qrew Tip, here you go... Next meetup is Thursday, April 23rd, at 3pm. Same location! I wish I lived in Denver and could attend, hopefully I'll see many of you at Empower in May! Empower 26 Agenda is Now Live The agenda for Empower 26 is now live! On May 18th, we'll kick things off in Houston, Texas with our Pre-Conference trainings. Keynotes and live sessions with the best Quickbase minds in the world will ensue on May 19th and 20th. Empower registration is still open and seats are still available for those of you on the fence! Throughout the months of April and May we'll be featuring Empower themed content here on The Qrew, helping us get fired up for the best event of the year! Empower agenda: https://www.quickbase.com/empower/agenda Unanswered Questions from the Quickbase Leadership AMA On February 19th, the Quickbase Leadership team of Chief Product Officer Marcus Torres, Chief Marketing Officer Alys Reynders, Chief Customer Officer Kelly Hall, and Chief Revenue Officer Josh Allen met with me and answered a series of questions from The Qrew. We ran out of time to get to every question during the session, so we're following up here to share answers to those unanswered questions. Questions for Josh Allen Q: How does Quickbase’s growth plan include partners? A: We are working with a third party to surface our best option for a partner/reseller strategy going forward. Given how much the landscape has changed in technology, and how our product offerings will be changing in 2026 and beyond, our partner strategy will have to change to support it. We are taking our time so that we do it correctly. Q: If we buy the Core Extensions and we surpass the transaction limit, do we have to buy another full package or can there be "chunks" as add-ons in that case? A: Similar to reads in our usage package for Quickbase, Extensions transactions have a “soft cap” associated with them. If it tips over a little bit, we will not have a hard cap to stop it. If it goes well above and beyond the transactions purchased, you can talk to your AE about the next best option. Q: Is Quickbase just not interested in the smaller company who can maximize QB to run their business? A huge point is now the AI pipeline won't be available to us, yet we would use it daily for field work. We are in the construction space and are geographically, and skilled manpower limited for growth. A: 80% of our customer base is 200 employees or less. Small and mid-sized businesses are our primary focal point. Quickbase Intelligence package AI will be available as a premium add-on to customers in our Business and Enterprise package tiers, which is where the new functionality will be most valuable. It was not built with large enterprises in mind, but with customers who want to accelerate decision making and insights gleaned from Quickbase. Q: What about the small organizations who were paying about $80/month for EFP+ through Juiced? Now we'll have to pay $3600/year for the lowest tier? A: We are grandfathering in Juiced customers and are not moving anyone over to the new packages in the short term. The packages we’ve launched are for customers looking to use Quickbase Extensions for the first time. Questions for Alys Reynders Q: Will in person Empower ever be recorded? When will the Empower agenda be released? A: The preliminary agenda is scheduled to be released on March 18th. The keynote sessions are livestreamed (registration for this is open now). Historically the breakout sessions have not be recorded, but we are working through potentially re-running the breakout sessions as webinars following the event. Questions for Kelly Hall Q: Can someone with QB explain the philosophy behind making us switch QB Consultants every quarter instead of being able to have long-standing Consultants? Being forced to change my QB Consultant every Quarter is more problematic than changing my CSM/Account Rep. A: The approach has been to apply resources to services engagements based on availability and needs of the customers. When possible, we align the same resources for continuity. QB consultants are billable resources therefore they are assigned to project dependent on need and skill as quickly as possible to support delivering value to our customers. However, as part of our desire for continuous improvement, we are performing analysis to see if aligning resources to the type of deliverable and or the customer segment would be valuable to increase skills and drive continuity with customers. More to come as we finalize the analysis. Questions for Marcus Torres Q: Is there a transaction reader/gauge for the Juiced plugins? A: This is not currently available, however it will be incorporated into Platform Analytics in Q2 (April-June). Q: The graphs and charts are very basic; is there a way they will be more on the level like Power BI? A: We are actively working on several initiatives to modernize how to do visualizations with Quickbase, both in our native charting and with tools like AI. For example, our AI Agent can already generate visuals that are not available in static reports. If necessary, we also support PowerBI as a certified connector. Q: Will the interface with the tools remain the same (juiced cloud) - presumably to be renamed later; or will the product configuration/setup move into a new interface? A: The brand of juiced is now part of Quickbase and will be dropped over time. Our immediate priorities were to ensure security of the Juiced extensions. We are evaluating ways to improve the install experience for customers but there is no commitment to timeline at this time. For those who purchase the Quickbase bundle, Juiced already has an upgraded version of the Juiced cloud. All customers will be migrated soon. Q: Is there any discussion of End User accounts tiered at a different level for those who use the app minimally/ only fill out one form, but don't work with the data or back end? A: Currently, we have a few options for customers with this type of light user setup. First, usage based pricing is available for certain accounts (discuss this with your Account Executive). We also have public access w/secure links which can help with many of these types of use cases. Q: Any new APIs and/or Pipeline Channels coming our way? A: Nothing in the short term as we're focused on other initiatives we believe will provide broad value to Quickbase customers. That being said, please put in Feedback requests for anything you'd like to see. That is one of the top ways we source areas to invest in.
