I have a new-style form that displays pages as steps. The user clicks the button (Formula URL) under step #3 to add a child record. Once they save that record, they're redirected back to the form, but on step #1. How do I bring the user back to the last step they were on?URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TABLE_ALIAS_HERE] & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_6=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#])& "&z=" & Rurl()The app uses New Grid Reports. I tried having the user add records in-line, however those rely on lookups to the parent and they won't save, saying that the lookup value is not set.I created a new Formula URL button to redirect back to that specific tab. It works when editing/viewing records but not when adding.URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TABLE_ALIAS_HERE] & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_6=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#]) & "&NextURL=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "/form?a=er&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&
Hi,Is there a way for my app settings to automatically default to 'open in the same page' when editing a report? I know how to change the setting within the field itself but not when editing a report record. This ends up with a host of tabs open in my browser vs. staying within the project record itself.
I'm creating competition between Agents by creating a leaderboard, however my formula query is giving me an issue. The ranking is based on the AFLAC Submitted Premium Last Week column, (FID 677). Image attached. Essentially, the highest dollar amount would land in spot 1 and continue with next highest in spot 2 etc. Here's what I have thus far: var text SUBLIFE = "{677.GT.'" & [AFLAC Submitted Premium Last Week] & "'}AND{23.EX.'1'";Size(GetRecords($SUBLIFE)) + 1Any help would be greatly appreciated! The attached report is sorted lowest to highest by Rank.
I’m working in Quickbase and need help building a Formula–Text field based on selections in a Multi-Select Text field.RequirementThe formula should return one of three designations based on a strict priority:Tier 1 — highest priorityTier 2 — medium priorityTier 3 — lowest priorityWhen selections from multiple tiers are present, the formula must return the highest-priority tier.Current setup:The source field is a Multi-Select Text field(20 options). I created a helper Formula–Text field using:Lower(ToText([Multi-Select Field]))The helper field correctly displays the selected options as semicolon-separated text. However, formulas using the following methods do not consistently recognize all selected values:Contains, Find, Trim, RegexMatchEven a basic test such as this returns the false result, although the helper field visibly contains the phrase:var text Criteria = Lower(ToText([Multi-Select Field])); If( Contains($Criteria, "example selection"), "MATCHED", "NOT MATCHED" )I a
Hello,We have a Salesforce Sync Table that was originally owned by another user. While attempting to transfer the connection to a different user, "Disconnect Table" was selected instead of changing the connection. The table still exists and contains important relationships and pipelines. Is there any way to restore or reconnect the Salesforce connection to the existing table without recreating it?Thank you.
I have a form that generates approximately 500-600 submissions per day. The form currently contains 320 fields, 55 form rules, 100 lookup fields, and around 80 image fields.I've been troubleshooting a significant issue on mobile devices where selecting any multiple-choice question causes the screen to jump erratically. To isolate the problem, I've tried:Removing all image fieldsReducing the total field countCreating a simplified version with only 5-6 questions and roughly 30 fieldsEven with the stripped-down version, the screen jumping still occurs whenever a multiple-choice field is selected on mobile.Has anyone experienced something similar or have suggestions on what might be causing this? I'm trying to determine whether this is related to form configuration, form rules, lookup fields, browser behavior, device-specific issues, or a platform limitation/bug. Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Looking to have a gauge chart with 0 entries being what good looks like. We are using it to identify action items for our team. As QuickBase won't allow you to have your start larger than your goal, and results displaying based on a percentage, it makes setting the colors for the gauge super challenging as well. Any suggestions?
How do I change the document template format to single line spacing and also justified text alignment? Neither are options from the formatting menu but I'm assuming there's a way to do it in the source code? Thank you.
I used to be able to use geo locate apps from the exchange to get my current lat/long GPS coordinates. However, that no longer seems to work. I'm guessing since Javascript has been disabled. Does anyone know if I can use Quickbase on my phone and get the phone's GPS coordinates into Quickbase? Best I have at the moment is an address field. Then I tell users to click on the map option, choose Google maps, long press on the spot they want, tap on the red flag, copy the lat long, go back back back to Quickbase, paste the lat/ long into a special field. That field triggers a Quickbase action to update the same records street1 and street2 fields with lat long. ... so you can see why I want a more streamlined method!!! I know Fastfield is an option, but don't want to have to fork out extra $$ for it and it's not yet secure enough for some of our clients. ------------------------------Matt Stephens------------------------------
Hi,I'm trying to create a button that will allow users to copy a record but I'm using my own key field so I need to increment that automatically in the process.Context: We have an online form for employees to created 'SDO Requests'. These get transferred from the resulting spreadsheet to a Quickbase 'helper' table where some transformations happen and a new GUID is assigned before a pipeline sends them to the master table. The custom GUID is necessary to weed out duplicate entries on import and transfer.Since these requests involve dates and time periods they sometimes span two pay periods. I'm trying to provide the people that approve and audit the requests an easy way to 'split' a request by making a copy of the original so that they can just edit the end date of the original and start date of the copy (one day I'll dig into how to automate that as well since I have a table of pay periods to reference but I digress).I have no idea if I'm even on the right path here but my thought was
Hi Denver Qrew, A quick update: Today’s meetup is not taking place today. The events page had the wrong date and has been updated. Paul Devillier and Louis Rowcliff are finalizing the date and location and are currently considering July 23 or July 30. Nothing is confirmed yet, but we’ll share the details as soon as they’re set. Thanks for your patience and we look forward to seeing everyone soon at the next Denver Qrew meetup. If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out to Louis, Paul, or me (Esther LaVielle).
Has anyone been successful in creating a notebook in Copilot that uses a URL to a table inside Quickbase? I attempted it and it takes the table URL and can launch to it, but Copilot does not pull the data. Just wondering if someone had figured that out since it would be super useful.
Hello All! I am searching for folks who are currently using the AI Agent and AI Actions to share their experience and feedback and what you've learned so far with the Qrew. Have you used AI Agent to document your apps? Improve a pipelines workflow? If you have a use case, please ping me or respond below! I am looking for customers to share at our next Qrew meetup August 18th or 19th at 12pm EST. Thank you and I look forward to bringing your story to the Qrew in August. -Esther
Hi all, new to QuickBase but not new to database tools. I'm trying to build a specific report within QuickBase. In Tableau it's called a Bowling Sheet. A non-propriety example looks like this: https://www.allaboutlean.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Bowler-Chart-Example3.pngIve been able to get sort of close in QuickBase by using the Summary Report, and I can group columns by Month to achieve the same result, but my issue is that it's giving me a COUNT of the data that's being reported instead of the actual value of that data. I'm sure it's something stupid/easy that I'm overlooking, but I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
In legacy forms, there was a way to color each tab title within a form (snip 1). The resulting form could look something like snip 2. Using the new forms designer, I have not found a way to color each tab/page (snip 3). Is this no longer an option or am I just not seeing how to do it? Snip 1 Snip 2 Snip 3 Thanks....Aaron ------------------------------Aaron Bab1692@att.com------------------------------

I am trying to make a URL Button to add a child record in a form Example:URLRoot() & "db/" & DBID & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_13=" & ToText([Record ID#])& "&dfid=10&popup=1"I also tried:URLRoot() & "db/" & DBID & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_13=" & [Record ID#] & "&target=popup&popupwidth=500&popupheight=400" I also tried these checking In Same Page, In New Window, And In Pop Up.but the button does not pop up like the embedded report. is it possible to make a button that works this way on PC and Mobile as it does in the Report button Link?
I have two apps in Quickbase. I need all the information from a form in an app we use to Sales to transfer to a form in an app we use for Operations. How do I go about this. It seems like there are limitations.

Hi everyone,I’m trying to organize a form using Tabs (Pages), but I’m running into some confusion with how Quickbase handles them.Previously, I was able to add new sections below existing ones without issues. However, when I try to add a new Page (Tab), Quickbase automatically moves all my existing fields into Page 1 and puts the new fields on Page 2. The tabs also always appear at the very top of the form. What I actually want is to have tabs (or a tab-like experience) applied to only a specific section lower down in the form, without wrapping the entire form into multiple pages. Is there a way to achieve this? Or what is the recommended approach — using multiple Pages, Sections with rules, or a completely different method?Any advice or best practices would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
In quickbase, I have a field for user and datetime. There are several project status like pending, submitted, review, approved and denied. Everytime in the status field change I want to record who did the change and date time. I want to use the two buttons. submitted by and submitted datetime field to track the audit history or logs. I did try with a pipeline but there is no data being recorded. Anyone done this before?
Curious to get other's thoughts. We have not enabled the new Grid Reports in our primary application. We have one application used by a small group that does have new Grid Reports enabled. This application (with Grid Reports enabled) has summarized data from our primary application. I was updating the data today and noticed the totals have the comma separator after 4 places. So, 100000 is displayed as 10,0000. When last updated, I'm pretty sure the comma separator was after 3 places.I see in the field properties a select of Show separator after 4 places or Show separator after 3 places. This appears to be a new option with the default of 4 places. For all the numeric fields, I'll need to manually change to 3 places.I could not find anything in the release notes about this option. Has anyone seen anything related to this? Is there any way to change the default to 3 places? I have a feeling this is going to be overlooked quite a
I am attempting to build an inspection sheet that will state if the dimension entered is within the specified tolerance. I have attached a screenshot of how I would like it to function, however after a week of reading the community pages. I have had little success in making it operational.Current Setup(see attached): Column #1 (Data Entry-Multi Choice or Numeric). Column #2 (output based on Column #1, OK/Green, Out of Tolerance/Red) Column#3 (Section view, visual reference only)I have had varied success with Column #2 as Text-Formula or Rich Text Formula using If statements with Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal to statements. ie. it does something but not the desired outcome.Questions: Is my idea possible? If so, Is Numeric/Multi Choice the correct choice for Column #1? Am I missing a step where I need to change the numeric into text and then apply the formula?Any help or ideas on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Landon
