User invite email - Is there a way to set a default message/subject line instead of typing it in each time I create a new user?
Is there a way to change the QB default message and subject line for the User invite email instead of typing it in each time I create a new user? There are 2 of us now setting up users and I want to be sure the message is consistent, plus it's time consuming to keep typing it over and over again. Any amount of time saved is a win for our small team. Hi all, I am now setting up a notification with condition of "any field changes", with showing the copy of the record changed (%recData%). However, is it any alternative to show the changed field information in multiple record version? As I found "%recData%" is not applicable in multiple record version. Thanks so much. ------------------------------ Alex Wong ------------------------------5Views0likes0CommentsSend User Email in Notification emails
Hello! I have project coordinators that oversee projects and project communication (Users) Whenever an automated email notification gets submitted to outsourced emails in the system, I want to have the Users email attached as one of 2 options: 1) The sender 2) in-line of the email like how I can select an email address field and place it into the email. * For option 2 I was looking to see how I can create a lookup field for the users email they use to access the system, but I couldn't find it. Any other solutions besides what I've mentioned I'm open to hear, I simply need to make sure that the individuals receiving these emails know who to reach out to instead of the generic notify@quickbase email they receive. Thank you so much :) ------------------------------ Anthony Wong ------------------------------5Views0likes0CommentsNew Report not showing up in Subscriptions
I created a new report, but when I go into Subscriptions to send it out to everyone, it is not listed in the reports under "common reports". I took some of the old reports and created a new group called "unused reports" to see if I could bump those reports out of the list. Those reports still show up in the list of reports to pick from under "common reports" even though I have moved them to "unused reports". Any suggestions would be helpful! ------------------------------ Douglas Ladd ------------------------------18Views0likes5CommentsCheck If Emails Sent??
Is there a good way to see if emails have been sent without having to test it all the time? I have notification emails set up, and they're amazing -- just wondering what my email options are that I could throw in! Thank you, (mark, I'm guessing!)!! ------------------------------ Michael Brumfield ------------------------------31Views0likes3CommentsPermissions??
If I have a "roll" where I don't want them access to the app at all (hahah, sounds funny), but I want to send them reports in emails and also emails with buttons that fire off things in my app. Will the emails still work if they don't have permissions?? ------------------------------ Michael Brumfield ------------------------------13Views0likes3CommentsHow To Remove HTML from Rich Text field so it doesn't show in Email Notifications and Headers, etc?
Hello, does anyone know how to hide the HTML formula in a Rich Text Field from displaying in column headers, email notifications, etc? See attached image 1. You can see that the HTML is showing at the beginning of the "Sample Data." See attached image 2. You can see that the HTML is showing in the email subject line. Can this be masked/removed so only the data is showing? Thanks! ------------------------------ Josh Collins ------------------------------17Views0likes4CommentsReport Link in Forms that are emailed
If you're sending a notification email, should a report that is on the form show up in the email?? Because I can't get mine to show up in the emails. Sorry if this is a ridiculous question, just wondering if there is a setting where I need to allow the report to be seen in emails or something. ------------------------------ Michael Brumfield ------------------------------12Views0likes5CommentsCustomize a reminder
Hi guys, I am new to the reminder feature and wonder if a reminder's subject line and body text could contain some fields from the same table to make the message more descriptive. looking forward to your answers :) Davy ------------------------------ Davy Ou ------------------------------12Views0likes0CommentsCreating an e-mail requesting information to be inputted directly back into the record
Hi, I'm a newbie on a QB trial with very little DB experience, but things are coming along well. So, right now I don't need to know the "how" of this question, just the "is it possible?" And is it possible with standard QB functionality or do I need to add a third-party add-on or do some other programming to make it happen? So far I've got a table that records an action and associates the action with two users (two relationships of a user table parent to the action table). The staff member (first user) leaves a self-evaluation on a scale of 1-5. I've set up a field to indicate whether the self-evaluation should be reviewed by the manager (the second user). I've introduced a bit of randomness to this field such that not every record will be reviewed and hopefully managers won't get overwhelmed with requests to review the self-evaluation, but enough can be done to have a good idea of whether the self-reviews are accurate or not. I can see where I can set up a notification e-mail based on the contents of that field. So far so good. What I would love is for the manager to receive the e-mail (or maybe better yet, a WhatsApp sms) and be able to make a simple couple of clicks to leave their own rating and have that show up in the record. Perhaps a field to leave a comment might be appropriate, too. Preferably they could do this direct from the e-mail itself, but otherwise if they could click a link, make a selection, and save that would also work, as long as it is simple and quick! Is this a possibility? Resulting table might look like this: check needed E-mail sent Self-Eval = 1 Manager eval = 1 SAME Comment No check No e-mail Self-eval = 3 check needed E-mail sent Self-eval = 5 Manager eval = 3 PROBLEM Comment Thanks for the input Dave ------------------------------ David Halter ------------------------------13Views0likes1Comment
