Hey Everyone, For those of you who attended the August 28th Pipelines meetup, some of this will be a repeat. Quickbase is hosting a virtual end user conference in October. We're calling it EmpowerPro. On day 4, we'll have a Pipelines Qrew Meetup. What are some ideas for what we can do with our hour together on October 18th? Here are some ideas that were shared in the chat of the Aug 28th call: Pipelines and Versioning, Version Control, ALM, Sandboxes, etc Service Accounts, how to use them, what to do about transitioning existing pipelines ownership over to Service Accounts Pipelines Error Messages: What Do They Mean, What Should I Do When I See Them? There may be others I've missed but these appear to be the top three categories of what people are wanting more of. What do we think? Let's also keep in mind that for many individuals, the October Pipelines Meet Up will be their first time interacting with this Qrew. I personally like the idea of breaking down different error messages since if I were an end user that would be super frustrating to deal with. But all three of these are valuable topics that I'm sure would make for a meaningful meet up. Share your thoughts, please. I want this session to be designed based off feedback from The Qrew.1like0CommentsPipelines Qrew Discussion Question - Week 1

Hello Pipelines Qrew! Thank you to all who were able to attend the September Pipelines Qrew Meet Up. Here’s a recap of what happened: Aksharada Acharya and Savin Kumar, Quickbase Developers from Accenture, shared two Jinja use cases: an “If” triggered conditions that sent notifications via pipelines with old and new values shown, and how a for-loop Jinja code increased the efficiency of processing and mapping child records to parent records via Pipelines. Jinja can seem very intimidating at first, but my biggest takeaway from the use case is that the payoff to learn Jinja coding language is worth the results. The best part of the meeting was seeing customers sharing resources, tips, and their experience with Jinja. Here is a list of resources that were shared that you can review and get started on. Jinja Pallets: https://jinja.palletsprojects.com/en/3.1.x/templates/#builtin-filters How to become a Jinja Ninja: QBU E-course https://j2live.ttl255.com Quickbase Junkie: Jinja videos Thank you to the Accenture team, Sean Boat-Moore, Mark Shnier, and Ben Simon for sharing these resources to the group. Want to see the 2 Jinja examples again? Here’s a copy of the recording and password: ?32Sr!sI As a reminder for October 2024: Ben Simon, Sr, Community Engagement Manager, will be hosting a special Pipelines Qrew Meet Up on Friday 10/18 at 2pm EST at Empower Pro. We will not be meeting in October at our normal cadence in favor of the Empower Pro session. Be sure to register and check out the agenda for the week. With the holidays coming up in November and December, I will be moving our Pipeline Meet Ups to the 2 nd Wednesday of the month starting in November. More details will come out soon after confirming our future agenda and speakers.0likes0CommentsFile Attachment Type Issue
When using the Send Email with Attachments action in a pipeline, I'm using the file_transfer_handle value for the URL field. When this action is triggered, the email is sent to the recipient with the attachment, however, the file type is lost and therefore the recipient has to explicitly specify the file type when saving the document which is not ideal. What do I need to do to preserve the file type so that if the attachment in the record is of PDF type and the pipeline sends an email with that attachment, the recipient sees a PDF attachment in their email. Thanks!0likes0CommentsNew update on Automations and and more as well as improvements to Pipelines
