Search field on Home Page

I am using a couple of search fields on my home page.  When I search for a name (that results in numerous items returned), is there a way  to change the items returned from oldest to newest?

    Lynne,

    Go to Advanced Settings for the table.
    Go to Default Report Settings


    Change the sort order on the Default Report


    That will probably fix this.
