Summary Report Column Width and Grid Edit?

    Hello, does anyone know:

Is it possible (Natively or non-Natively) to widen the first column's width on a summary report so the rows are all of one width (and one line wide)? This would accommodate more information on the screen and help my users read summary reports with many rows.

Is it possible (Natively or non-Natively) to do Grid Edit from a summary report?

    Thank you,
    Molly

    Hi Molly,

I can confirm that it is not natively possible to do Grid Editing on a summary report. All the data on the summary report is being drawn from multiple records and as such they can't be edited there since they are all based on the records summarized. The same is true for expanding the width of the first column on the summary report, their size is dictated by the a combination of the field name and the size of the data within the columns, there isn't a manual setting to manipulate them. I have seen some examples in apps of those who have changed up the visuals of a report using scripting, and it is possible another Community member with a deeper background in scripting could point you in the right direction on that.

Also I would suggest that if these features would be useful to you to add them as requests to our User Voice. It is the tool that our product developers use to track user feedback on features and enhancements. I have seen a few before on being more able to manipulate reports and with more support those ideas get more attention. The Quick Base User voice can most easily be accessed from the My Apps page in Quick Base by clicking on the orange Feedback tab that appears on the right of the page or at http://quickbase.uservoice.com">http://quickbase.uservoice.com/">http://quickbase.uservoice.com by signing in with your Quick Base credentials. Thank you for your time today Molly.
