Error while saving form with empty checkboxes

hi,

I inserted checkboxes into a form that are required fields. The user will be asked to select one or more of the checkboxes. I created a rule to have these checkbox fields become unrequired as soon as a box is checked (see rule below). When I try to save and close the form I receive the error message below.  Can someone please help in trouble shooting this error?  Is the 'required' field condition causing this error?

    Try getting rid of the 5 last "Change" actions.

      Hi Mark,

      Thank you for the suggestion but the error is still there even after removing the last 5 conditions on the form rule. It looks like a non-Null value is expected for the checkboxes but I don't know how to get around that.

        update:  I edited the field properties to remove the "Must be filled in" Requirement and and updated the form rule to remove the "change" conditions. these changes worked and i am able to save the form.
