Can you color-code data from a report formula?

Hi, I'm attempting to color-code data in a report that has been generated by a report formula.
I can't seem to make it happen in the ways I would for any set field.
But I also can't find anywhere saying I specifically can't, so I'm hoping to clarify and find out how if it is possible.
