add child record using automations when creating records in parent table

Mark - I appreciate the responses and there was a way, all I needed was a night away from the work. The problem is I was adding to a table then wanting to modify to relate the records. I made another numeric field to store the parent record id in the child record when making the child records. Then added another automation that when a child record is added and the field is populated it will then copy the parent record id into the related field. It works perfect...a night away always helps.
