Adding a National Average to A Chart

I have a simple bar chart which basically reports on the budget for each state. Works OK.  But there is a need for us to show national position in the same chart so that one bar is National and rest are state bars.  Seems like I have to create a another 'state' known as national but not too sure how to add this to chart alongside the states.  Will appreciate some help.
  • It might help if you posted a screen shot of the configuration of your Chart report so we can see the type of bar chart you are using and that your settings are.

Thanks the attached hand drawn chart was sent to me by a user if this gives you an idea.  I can simplify it to the point that we report on one FY at a time instead of lumping two FY. I did the chart without the national position which is easy enough but adding a 'national' state, I was not too sure about that.
  • I think that the only chart type which can do this, if it's possible in native QuickBase at all is the Chart type Line and bar, because that chart type can chart two sets of data on the same chart.  But I also know that the scaling for the two lines is not the same on the left and right vertical axis, so that report is probably not gong to satisfy the users.

There is an add on service i have used a but called easy insights. http://www.easy-insight.com/

It has much more capability that native Quick Base charts and also it has a native live QuickBase Interface.  ie when you run the chart in easy insight it pulls the data live, from QuickBase.
