Auto task list - I'm sure I am over complicating it

I have a new process we are building an app to support. We have two different types of transactions. Each type of transaction will have it's own task list. How can I have the tasks auto populate based on the type of project selection from a drop down list?

    You want to use the CopyMasterDetail feature with two different "template" parents and child Tasks.  This way you create the specific Tasks you want for a Transaction Parent from a designated Template list.  You will modify your CopyMasterDetail button to choose the parent-template based on the value selected in the drop down by the User.
