Bar Chart with Series

Hello, 

I'm trying to create a Bar Chart with Series just like the one pictured in the Chart types information:

1) How do I get more than one value on the X-Axis? How do I show data for multiple months (for example)?

2) Is it possible to get the data from a summary report?

I have a summary report that totals the columns at the bottom and would like to show the totals for the various columns in a bar graph. Any help is appreciated!

    I think I figured out the first part.

    Is there a way to get the data directly from the summary report or do I need to create another field?

      I have the same question. How did you accomplish the first one? Having series on x axis?

    Most of the time, summary reports are based on some grouping.  Usually you can do the same with Bar charts by using the series options.

    In some rare cases you actually have to create a few other 'tables' to accomplish the exact thing.  But its really hard to tell what would be best without seeing your app, or knowing more about the data challenge.
