Blank Cells in Pipeline IF/THEN logic

I have a logical test that fails when comparing blank fields. The test checks if a field in Table A is equal to a field in Table B. Table A is an is created within quickbase and Table B was manually imported from excel.

The IF/THEN statement works fine until it encounters two fields that are blank. Looking through the activity log, pipelines reads the value of the blank field in Table A as "None" and the value in Table B (excel import) as "". I have gone through the fields in my tables and verified that they are all empty.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Does anyone have any idea why one empty field is read by pipelines as "" and another as "None"?

    Yes I know this is an old post.

    No idea, but this is par for the course for Pipelines.   Maybe the "" is a text field and the None comes from a different field type generating a different value.

    Quickbase Pipelines go down in history as one of the most horrible starts to a new technology that I've ever encountered.  I hate them with a passion but HAVE to use them at my job.  Pipelines have caused me to think about quitting my job just to get out of working with Pipelines.  I AM NOT KIDDING.  I am the core developer for Quickbase apps in my organization.  Over the course of 6 months of having to use Pipelines more and more I have become very unsatisfied using both Pipelines and working my IT job.

    For the record, I feel Quickbase is largely amazing as a whole, but Pipelines are MISERABLE until they make a MAJOR upgrade to them.
