Well I saw your Google link but it didn't actually show me the formula with the changes. When you make those changes on the formula it will land the user on the record in view mode. Note that if you are using formula fields on new forms, somewhat annoyingly when you make a formula change in the field they may not immediately refresh on the form.

What happens when you click it? It must land you on the Created record, right?

Yes it does, in edit mode and then when I save it I land back on Record 1 (the copied record)... same result as formula seen in 1st Google Doc.

Certainly bizarre behaviour. When it creates the record does it create the record with all the fields filled in, say in particular the very last FID in the formula? I am curious whether the the browser is truncating the very long URL.
