Can you create a report of reserved files

I would like to create a report of all the documents (file attachment field type) in a particular table that are reserved.  Is that possible?
  • What indicates that a document is reserved?  Can you just set up a checkbox field to indicate that it is reserved?  Or a field to indicate who has it reserved?
  • When a document is uploaded to QuickBase using the file attachment field (the "Choose File" button) it can then be reserved by tapping the open lock symbol.

I was hoping to run a report that would filter all the documents that had a locked symbol, indicating the document is reserved.
  • Hmm, well as they say "live and learn".  I did not know about that feature.  I don't know the answer.
  • Hi Simmer,

Currently we do not have a filter option built in for reporting to only display reserved file attachments in a report or to search for only reserved file attachments. If having a way to filter down to just reserved file attachments is something you need for your process I would suggest adding it as a User Voice request. User Voice is a tool our Product Managers use to take in feedback from our users on future features and enhancements. The Quick Base User voice can most easily be accessed from the My Apps page in Quick Base by clicking on the orange Feedback tab that appears on the right of the page or at http://quickbase.uservoice.com by signing in with your Quick Base credentials. I am curious to see if there are other users who have a similar use for the reserved feature. Thank you for your time today Simmer.

If you do create a User Voice request it can be helpful to post a link to it here so other Community members who find this conversation can add their vote of support as well.
