Control ROLE views based on a single reference field for entire app?
I have an app with is built with a bunch of tables that is to serve 2 teams->Team 1 and Team 2. Within one of my tables is a field, OPCO, that acts as a key to filter whether a project is controlled by Team 1 or Team 2.
My idea is to control the user's access based on which Team # they are on. I see that in Manage Roles I can create a custom rule that would limit a view, but since the field OPCO is not in every table, then this doesn't seem like the best option to use.
I can put the field OPCO in all tables in the app and make them Lookup to the correct field, but that seems like a lot of work for something that should be a simple thing.
I looked through the posts and see answers that are close to what I need, but since I am basing this on a single field in one table inside the app, nothing really clicked.
Thanks as always for the help.
